PAT (Quetta) holds demonstration to protest Panama leaks

PAT (Quetta chapter) organized a demonstration in front of the Quetta Press Club on May 2 to protest the mega corruption of rulers and offshore companies and non-provision of justice in the Model Town case. The protest was jointly led by Bakhtiar Ahmad Rind, president of Quetta Division, and Ashraf Shah Qadri, provincial chief organizer Balochistan. In addition to the PAT workers, a large number of people and members of the civil society attended the demonstration. PAT Secretary General calls on Syed Khursheed Shah

PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur called on Opposition leader Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah at his residence yesterday and discussed with him current political situation and the Model Town tragedy. He told the PPP leader that the report of the Model Town commission has not been released despite passage of one and half years and that the PAT has knocked on the doors of the Lahore High Court to get a copy of the report, adding that on the other hand, we have filed a complaint in the anti-terrorism court. PAT holds seminar on International Labour Day

PAT organized a seminar to mark International Labour Day on May 1st at the central secretariat, which was presided over by senior PAT leader Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri. In his presidential address, Dr Hassan said that the rulers who have set up offshore companies are enemies of the workers, farmers and labourers. He said that if the people did not rise for their rights, the predatory ruling elite will gobble up whatever is left. He said that the labourers of Chicago rendered sacrifices against the state barbarism and the PAT workers also stood up against the state oppression and highhandedness. read more...

PM’s address was joke with nation: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

In his reaction to the Prime Minister’s address to the nation, PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that revelations made by the Panama papers are proven and there is no need for further investigation. He said that the Commission will not produce any result, adding that the whole nation has been rendered clueless once again. He said that the Prime Minister did not address the nation but cracked joke with it. PAT workers hold demonstration before anti-terrorism court

The PAT workers held a peaceful demonstration before the anti-terrorism court demanding justice in the Model Town case. They chanted ‘Go Nawaz Go’ slogans. The demonstration led by Hafiz Ghulam Farid was attended by a large number of women. PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has welcomed the Army Chief’s statement in which he stated that across the board accountability is necessary to break the nexus of the corruption and power. He said that time has come that the targeted operation is carried out against abettors and facilitators of the terrorists. He said that life of people remains at the mercy of the terrorists and their property at the mercy of looters and plunderers. He said that the Operation Zarb-e-Ghazab against the corrupt elements has become inevitable like the Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists. He said that the corrupt ruling elite is facilitator of each other and the biggest of the abettors and facilitators have held meetings in London.
