LAHORE: Rejecting a five-member joint investigation team (JIT) constituted to probe the death of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers in Model Town, PAT chief Dr Tahirul Qadri alleged the report that has already been prepared by the government and will be publicised later this month, Express News reported on Saturday. Qadri, demanded formation of a new JIT to investigate the matter in a fair and transparent manner, while stressing that his party would not join the investigation team unless Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif resigns. read more...

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of PAT Supreme Council, has announced to reconstruct houses for families of two martyrs of Model Town tragedy in Sheikhupura, Muridke, Kamoke and Gujranwala. He said that families of valiant, selfless and committed revolutionary workers have demonstrated their abiding loyalty to PAT by rejecting the government’s offer of money in the name of compensation. Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Women Wing, Monday, held demonstrations in front of press clubs in all major cities of the country to mark completion of five months of June 17, the day when unfortunate Model Town tragedy took place and protest issuance of arrest warrants of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. The peaceful protest demonstrations were held in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat and Jhelum. Dr Qadri wants two-thirds majority to change system

BHAKKAR: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Sunday claimed that the investigation report into the Model Town killings had held the government responsible but the review committee gave it a clean chit. Addressing a rally at the Jamil Stadium here, Qadri said he would unite the Sunni and Shia sects and change the system if the people gave him a two-thirds majority.He introduced Nazar Abbas as his candidate for the Nov 29 by-polls in PP-48, Darya Khan. Monday, November 24, 2014 - Bhakkar—Pakistan Awami Tehreek chief Dr Tahirul Qadri addressing a gathering in Bhakkar district on Sunday asked his supporters to “destroy the system if elected rulers fail to deliver”. Qadri appealed to the crowd to vote for PAT candidate Nazar Abbas for the Nov 29 by-polls in the district. He added that the by-polls were in fact a preparing ground for a “bigger battle” yet to come. “We are protesting against the corrupt and oppressive government,” Qadri said.
