Mother a symbol of love and sacrifice: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
Shyakh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that no society can deny
the importance of teachings enjoined by Islam with regard to blood relations. He
said that there are manifest commands both in the Holy Quran and Hadith about extending
excellent treatment towards parents and fulfilling their rights. Islam, he added,
has attached special significance to the rights of mother in this regard and Allah
Almighty has referred to the person of mother to highlight His love for the creations.
The Hadith that “Paradise lies underneath the feat of a mother” shows the emphasis
Islam places on the fulfillment of her rights. He said that if one is alert and
aware of doing all obligations, it would save one from societal disorder and restlessness.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri expressed these views while addressing
a seminar in Lahore organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League on
the occasion of International Mother Day yesterday. He said that Hazrat Owais Qarni
has set such a high benchmark of love and service for a mother as is beacon of light
for humanity. By acting upon his example, he said, that the humankind could strengthen
its blood relations. He paid a glowing tribute to mother saying that the manner
in which she faces difficulties for her kid is what places humanity on the pinnacle
of civilization. Her unbounded love and affection for her kids is unrivalled.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that good and pious mothers have given birth
to exalted people and trained them in such a manner that they changed the course
of history and brought about revolutions. He lamented the fact that the materialism
has affected the foundations of a family system and the respect for parents is getting
diminished due to this factor. He further said that there is a need to make the
youth aware of their rights and obligations in regard to rights of parents.
