Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek, has said that the political system in which the statements of ‘political bigwigs’ cause the death of dozens of people at once and damage to infrastructure, needs to be sent packing. The shedding of human blood fuel the fire of hatred and biases, and this gory drama is oft-repeated. The present system does not offer any protection to either life, honour or property of people. Therefore, it is incumbent upon people to take part in awareness campaign currently under way under the aegis of Pakistan Awmai Tekreek and Minhaj-ul-Quran International. If they showed any kind of procrastination, the 3% ruling elite would further crush the 97% of people.
Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani expressed these views while talking to a PAT delegation from Karachi which called on him in his office yesterday.
He said that those damaging peace in Karachi are criminals of the nation and they should be brought to justice at the earliest. He said that people would continue to be crucified at the altar of egos of so-called politicians unless they become master of their own destiny and organize a peaceful movement for change. He said that PAT would continue its campaign to restore people’s rights and its doors are open for those who are against terrorism, extremism, violence and want the country to progress.
