Central leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Talat Naqvi and Umar Cheema called
on Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, central Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International
in central secretariat of MQI today. Dr Abbasi was assisted by Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz,
Anwar Akhtar Advocate, Brig. (r) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, Brig. (r) Dr Obaidullah Ranjha,
Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, and Jawad Hamid in the talks, while PTI delegation included
Khalid Miraaj and Sardar Kamil Umar.
The leaders of both parties expressed their grave concern on the situation currently
obtaining in the country and agreed that change had become inevitable. There was
a consensus in the meeting, which continued for over two hours that contacts would
be continued in future too. Both sides underlined the fact that the patriotic forces
needed to play a practical role in the current situation.
