PAT seeks permission for holding public rally today
Rawalpindi: Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) has sought permission for holding a
public gathering on Sunday at Airport Road in Rawalpindi to welcome its chief,
Tahir-ul-Qadri.
For security, District Coordination Officer (DCO) of Rawalpindi was requested to
tighten the security by asking people for walk through gates, metal detectors
and huge number of police personnel.
Naib Ameer of PAT, Ahmed Nawaz Anjum, along with his party member met the
Rawalpindi DCO, Sajid Zafar Dal the other day and sought permission about the
public gathering.
The DCO inquired the details of the gathering. Ahmed Nawaz Anjum said they
needed an area of one kilo meter, 40 to 60 feet stage will be set up with three
big screens to facilitate the supporters.
