Nawaz Sharif making efforts for a pardon: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri

PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri reached Lahore on the morning of Nov 28. Addressing the media at the Lahore Airport, he said that the agreement to end the sit-in with the blessings of the Pakistan Army has resulted in restoration of normalcy for the people of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He congratulated the Pakistan Army on averting a disaster. He said that the government wanted to push the country into civil war and chaos but could not succeed in its nefarious designs. He said that a government which cannot resolve issues at the floor of Parliament, and talk to its own people, does not have a right to stay in power and expose the people of Pakistan to humiliation globally. He said that such a failed government should voluntarily tender resignation, otherwise, it will have to call it quits due.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that humiliation of the ruling family is a logical consequence of 2014 sit-in. He said that situation has come to such a pass that they cannot even go out in the public secretively what to speak of getting out in the broad daylight. He said that there is an appearance of fake courage on the face of Nawaz Sharif. He said that he was giving a news that the ousted prime minister is sending messages for pardon and they are even ready to commit in writing that none of the family members will be in politics in return for clemency. He said that no honorable person will pardon them nor will he repeat the mistake committed by Musharraf.

Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Basharat Jaspal, Fayyaz Warraich, Noorullah Siddiqi, Jawad Hamid and office bearers of Women League, Ulema Council, Youth League and MSM warmly received their beloved leader at the airport. A large number of workers had also reached the airport to receive Dr Qadri.

The PAT Chairman said that the government attacked the belief in the finality of the prophethood in the darkness of night. He said that resignation of the whole government is the demand of the entire nation. He said that it was he who highlighted 7-B and 7-C in his press conference and interview for the first time. They abolished important electoral laws and attacked the foundation of one’s faith. He said that Nawaz Sharif has not left any stone unturned to get the women of his family and even elders humiliated due to his never ending appetite for wealth. He said that whether they live in Pakistan or England, they are unable to step into the roads and streets publicly for fear of humiliation and backlash. He said that he never saw any ruler being humiliated in such a manner.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the rulers were bereft of courage the day they sprayed bullets on 100 innocent people, killing 14 of them in the broad daylight and under the glare of media. He said that it was with the Model Town tragedy that downfall of the ruling family began. He said that decision of the Lahore High Court on Justice Najfi Commission report is due in a week’s time and with the publication of the report, the faces of the real masterminds of the tragedy will be exposed. He said that we are demanding nothing except qisas.

Dr Qadri said that Tajdar e Khatm-e-Nabuwwat ﷺ Conference will take place at Minar-e-Pakistan on the intervening night of 11th and 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, which will be attended by hundreds of thousands of people from across the country.
