PAT Dissolves Organizational Bodies, Announces Schedule for Intra-Party Elections

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has dissolved its central, provincial, and zonal organizational bodies. According to a statement issued by the party secretariat, the decision aims to make the party structure more effective and to promote internal democratic practices.

The statement further announced the new schedule for the intra-party elections, under which the last date for submission of nomination papers is October 14, 2025, while the final list of candidates will be released on November 1, 2025.

As per the election schedule, voting for Central, Central Punjab, and Lahore office-bearers will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2025, at the central secretariat. Polling for the Karachi and Islamabad regions will take place on November 11, followed by the Hazara region on November 12. Elections for Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and South Punjab regions will be conducted on November 13, for Gilgit-Baltistan on November 14, and for the Interior Sindh region on November 15. The final phase of polling, for the North Punjab region, will be held on November 16, 2025.

Sardar Ghazanfar Hussain Advocate, Secretary of the PAT Intra-Party Election Commission, stated that Pakistan Awami Tehreek firmly believes in upholding democratic values, and that the intra-party elections represent a transparent, merit-based, and positive step toward organizational revitalization.
