The oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected office-bearers of Awami Tajir Ittehad was held in a dignified manner. MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur attended the ceremony as a special guest and administered the oath to the newly elected officials.
Senior Vice President of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed, Chairman Ferozepur Road Industries, Shahbaz Aslam, EC Member Rana Shaban, and former Vice President Lahore Chamber of Commerce, Adnan Khalid Butt, also attended the event as guests of honor.
Addressing the ceremony, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that the business community holds the status of the backbone of the national economy. He urged the government to formulate trader-friendly policies and reduce the prices of electricity, gas, and petroleum products. He further emphasized that traders should also play an active role in social welfare, promotion of moral values, and charitable activities.
Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed said that the government must provide facilities to the business community, make energy cheaper, and introduce a fair taxation system. Hundreds of small and large industries have shut down, and thousands of workers are becoming unemployed.

The newly elected office-bearers pledged to strive for resolving the issues of the business community, safeguarding their rights, and contributing to the improvement of the national economy.
