This joint declaration emerges from the delibeations of the 2nd Muslim Charistian Dialogue
Forum held on 17-08-2000 at the Central Secretariate of the Minhaj-ul-Quran International
MOvement and Pakistan Awami Tehreek 365-M Mdel Toen Lahore, Pakistan. Founder/Chairman
Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri presided as Convener and Bishop Samuel Azariah acted
as Co-convener.
After deliberations the following were adopted with full consensus.
1. The MCDF meets the requirements of efforts by representatives of Muslim and Chritian
faith to work for interfaith harmony, peace, establishing morality in interaction between
Believers on a global level commencing from institutionaliing MCDF in Pakistan to act
promote Muslim Christian harmony.
2. The MCDF strongly condemns violance , hatred, class wars and trends that are manifestily tools of the devilish forces operating world wide.
3. The MCDF pledges to work towards promoting values of peace brotherhood, morality and
interaction based on common agenda of reveald message to man in the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible.
4. That MCDF pledges to work for cradicating discrimination of the people of pakistan in political, social, economic and
religious terms and demands equal opertunities fro all.
5. MCDF pledge to work to establish committees to promote the ends of
MCDF.

6. The MCDF recognizes the importance of members of the Muslim and Christian faith to participate in each others events and
celebrations of thanks giving to the Creator to establish solidarity and brotherhood of man
all the year around.
7. that MCDF recognizes the assurances of respective leaders on their open acceptance of the
aforesaid points and their pledge to promote the same in practical terms.
8. That MCDF recognizes the efforts of Prof. Dr. Muhammad tahir-ul-Qadri and also the
blessings of the Ulama, Mashaikh and Scholars extended to the Muslim participants to
move ahead in promoting MCDF.
9. That in equal MCDF recognizes the presence of the representative of Pope John Paul II.
Father James Channan who has also indicated the Blessings of these efforts by Pope John Paul II.
10. That MCDF particularly thanks by Dr. Bishop Andrew Frances for his assurance to project the
efforts of MCDF at the United Nations and whishes himm all success inhis forth coming tour to the
United Nations.
11. That the initial Committee of MCDF would be one which would commence to chalk out a march MCDF
participants across the Mall Road in Lahore where in massive participation would signify the
message of interfaith harmony and peace. |
