After the hearing of private complaint in the Model Town case in the anti-terrorism court, Naeem-ud-Din Chaudhry Advocate, who is legal spokesperson for PAT, spoke to the media and briefed it about the proceedings. He said that one principal accused Capt. (r ) Usman, who is Commissioner Lahore these days, had petitioned the court for acquittal in the case. PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that the war is not a solution of any dispute but it appears that the age-old issue of Kashmir doesn't seem to be nearing resolution without war. He said that the peace of the region is conditional on the resolution of Kashmir issue. He further stated that the United Nations will have to fulfill it's promise it made with Kashmiris in the form of resolutions sanctioning their right to self determination.
