Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri's Patronage Has Kept the Model Town Massacre Case Alive: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has said that legal proceedings for justice for the martyrs of the Model Town tragedy are continuing in the courts, adding that it is the judiciary's responsibility to deliver justice.

He said the party's legal team appears before the Anti-Terrorism Court on every hearing with the hope of securing justice. "No one should have any doubt that there will be any negligence or lack of commitment in pursuing this legal battle," he said.

Khurram Nawaz Gandapur stated that it is due to the attention and patronage of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri that the Model Town massacre case remains active today, the FIR against the accused is still in force, and the case continues to proceed.

Commenting on the pace of the judicial process, he remarked, "The 'lightning speed' of our judicial system is well known to everyone, and we too are among those affected by it."

He further said that pursuing justice for the martyrs of Model Town is a matter of faith for Pakistan Awami Tehreek. "We stand with the families of the martyrs and are providing them with every possible legal and moral support," he added.
