On 24th September 2008, the proceedings of third day at the Itikaf City got underway with the Fajr prayers. Instructing the participants of Itikaf, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that they should try to recite the Holy Qur’an as much as they could. The 18th annual Itikaf City under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International started on September 21, 2008 in the Lahore city of Pakistan. The caravans of people had already started coming to the Itikaf City one day prior to the actual start of Itikaf. The Muslim Youth League UK – Sisters held their first ever promotional stand at the Sheridan Suite in Manchester on the 30th of August 2008. This was the venue for the conference delivered by Shayk-ul-Islam titled: Shariah: Clarity Amidst Confusion.
