A joint declaration said, “The obsolete corrupt electoral system has failed to solve the problems of the people. The present governments have come into existence through unconstitutional election commission, so a new democratic government has become inevitable. We will give employment and house to everyone, subsidy will be provided to people with less than Rs 15,000 monthly income for buying atta, clothes and milk at 50 percent discounted price. These persons will be registered and tax will be abolished on electricity, water and gas. Sectarianism will be eliminated and natural resources will be fully exploited and explored. Education will be free up to matriculation, power devolved to the lower level and industry, trade and businessmen given protection.” read more...

LONDON: The Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Saturday agreed on a 10-piont agenda to bring ‘revolutionary reforms’ in the governance system of the country. PAT leader Dr Tahir ul Qadri and PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain inked the declaration at a press conference in London. Speaking on this occasion, Qadri said the current political and administrative system has failed in solving the public problems. Chairman of Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) Sahibzada Hamid Raza on Sunday announcing its support to grand alliance said formation of grand alliance is mandatory for electoral reforms, ARY News reported. Sahibzada Hamid Raza welcomed the ten-point agenda presented by Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PMLQ) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT). He said that they were not behind students of other countries in terms of intellect, competence and hard work despite facing many constraints.
