PAT lawyers cross-examined SP Tariq Aziz, witness presented by the police in the FIR registered by police in the Model Town case. He said that he was present in Model Town on June 17, 2014 and was injured by a bullet but despite this, he continued to command the police party. He told that he lay down in the ambulance and someone told him that the PAT workers resorted to stone-throwing. read more...
A meeting marked the 29th foundation day of PAT in which the heirs of the martyrs were presented tributes and they were congratulated for perseverance in their demand for justice. A cake was also cut on the occasion. Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League and PAT Youth Wing staged a demonstration in front of Lahore Press Club to protest the pro-India and anti-Pakistan statement of the former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Secretary General Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Khuram Nawaz Gandapur has filed a petition in the Lahore High Court for registration of High Treason case against Nawaz Sharif. In a petition filed through Advocate Ishtiaq Chaudhry, it is prayed with the court to order for registration of a case against Nawaz Sharif under Article 6 of the Constitution for his interview against interest of the state. read more...
